Treatment of Snow Blindness


Snow blindness can be very uncomfortable and painkillers are usually taken to dampen the discomfort.  Cold wet compresses can be given.  If you are wearing contact lenses, these should be removed so that the eyes are not damaged any further and so that they can recover without interference or problems.  Eyes should not be touched or rubbed during the healing process.  Specific ointments are available to speed-up recovery.
