Risks of Lens Implants

As with all types of surgery, there is an element of risk involved including:

Infection - As with all surgical procedures, the eye may become infected.
Night Vision & Glare - Night vision or glare are rarely a problem but can become problematic.
Eye Damage - The structure of the eye may be damaged, leading to more serious problems such as glaucoma, cataracts, retinal complications, inflammation of the iris (uveitis), corneal decomposition or cataract. These risks are however, very uncommon.
