Benefits of Lens Implants (ICL’s)

There are many benefits of lens implants and they are often the treatment of choice over laser eye surgery. Benefits of lens implants include:

More severe cases of nearsightedness can be treated when compared with LASIK laser eye surgery. ICL is sometimes the only possible refractive surgery option available.
Visual satisfaction and safety are high with this procedure.
There is quick visual recovery and therefore you can return to routine life, quite quickly.
ICL surgery is reversible. The lens can be removed for personal or clinical reasons and is not a permanent procedure like laser eye surgery.
Compared with laser eye surgery, the eye itself is not altered. Tissue is not removed and the shape of the cornea is not changed.
ICL surgery is highly flexible as the lens can be changed as your prescription changes over time.
Glasses and contact lenses can still be worn to treat conditions, which ICL does not resolve such as age related presbyopia.
