Laser Thermokeratoplasty (LTK) Guide
LTK - Laser Thermokeratoplasty
Refractive Correction
- Hyperopia - long sightedness or farsightedness.
- Astigmatism
This is a type of laser eye surgery, which can be used to correct far sightedness and astigmatism. It is essentially a short-term solution because the results are not permanent. The surgery involves shrinking the cornea instead of reshaping it, like with normal laser eye surgery procedures. There is a lot of regression with this procedure and eyes are often over-corrected.
Contact your local clinic, to find out more about LTK surgery and if it is suitable for you.
