Laser Eye Surgery for Astigmatism
The refractive error known as astigmatism, is caused by the cornea being shaped like a rugby ball and not being spherically shaped. Images at all distances can be blurred as the eye produces two different focal points.
Depending on your prescription and eye conditions, astigmatism can be corrected or improved by laser eye surgery. Laser surgery is used to make the corneal curve more even i.e. akin to a football shape instead of a rugby ball shape.
Most people have some degress of astigmatism. If it is severe, you may also suffer from tension headaches and other problems as well as vision being affected at all distances. A laser eye surgical procedure can enable you to throw away glasses and enjoy life without the stress and anxiety caused by not being able to see properly.
