Symptoms of Hyperopia
The refractive error known as hyperopia, makes it difficult to see near objects as clear as distant objects. If you are farsighted, your vision may be blurred, you may find it difficult to see objects up close and children may cross their eyes (esotropia).
If you are farsighted, you may have headaches or eyestrain and you may squint your eyes. Some people feel tired when doing work, which is quite close. Some experience a pulling or burning sensation in the eyes. Hyperopia is not the same as presbyopia, although the symptoms are similar in that, it is difficult to see objects close up.
Symptoms of farsightedness include:
- Finding it difficult to concentrate on near objects.
- Finding it hard to maintain focus on near objects.
- Eyes feeling tired during concentration on near objects
- Headaches during concentration on near objects.
- Aching or burning eyes.
- Feeling irritated after long spells of concentration.
