Frame Colour to Suit your Skin Tone
Certain coloured frames tend to suit certain skin tones. Unless however, you want to make a statement and choose coloured frames that stand out or that are coordinated with your clothes or accessories.
- Light Skin Tones - Lightweight metal frames with a little colour may be best suited to fair complexions. Tortoise shell frames are very popular with fair skinned people. If you have a light skin tone, you should avoid clear crystal frames as a hint of colour will liven up your face and make you look more vibrant. But avoid blue or green tones as these can be draining and opt for warm colours such as pale pink and pale browns.
- Dark Skin Tones - If you have olive, Mediterranean, golden, or Asian skin and dark hair, silver and gold coloured eyeglasses frames may work well for you. If you prefer a coloured frame, try burgundy and browns.
- Black Skin Tones - Very dark skin often suits metallic frames or black frames. Black frames make quite a statement and people either love them or hate them.
