Laser Procedures Offered at Accuvision
Laser eye correction procedures are intended to provide patients with vision improvement so they no longer need eye glasses or contact lenses (or reduced dependancy). While more eye problems than ever are treatable with lasers, you will still need a consultation to determine if this method is suitable for your vision problems. Below are the laser options available through Accuvision.
-
WaveFront LASIK
This procedure is used when traditional LASIK options are not sufficient. When the cornea needs reshaping, this method is typically going to be used. -
LASIK
This is the traditional method of laser eye surgery and can be used for the treatment of a wide range of vision problems, including astigmatism, myopia and hyperopia. Recovery time is brief and the procedure can be completed quickly in the clinic. -
Epi - LASIK
This is a method of LASIK, which is used to treat milder vision problems. Recovery and procedure times are similar to those of LASIK procedures. -
Trans- Epithelial Laser Vision Correction
This is considered a “no touch” laser surgery procedure. With this method, the lasers do all of the work and no blades are needed at any stage of the procedure. -
Microkeratome
While some vision correction clinics offer Intralase, Accuvision offers Microkeratome. According to their studies, this method can be more effective than Intralase. The procedure allows LASIK surgeries to be conducted with the use of tiny blades to make a flap on the surface of the cornea.
Other Services Offered at Accuvision
For patients who do not qualify for laser eye surgery, or who have other vision problems, Accuvision does offer other alternatives, including the ones below.
-
Cataract Surgery
This common procedure is available at Accuvision and can be used to remove the cataract to provide vision improvements. -
CK
Older patients who have suffered from vision degeneration because of age can have their vision improved through this short procedure. -
Keratoconus Treatment
This procedure corrects Keratoconus, which causes the eye to bulge and leads to vision abnormalities. -
Implantable Contact Lenses
These lenses work like traditional contact lenses but they are surgically implanted in the eye to provide permanent eye correction. -
Intra Ocular Lens Implants
These are a similar procedure also available from Accuvision.
Treatments for monovision and lazy eye are also offered at the clinic.
