Eye experts have published a list of super foods that, if eaten regularly, could improve and mantain eye health. It is hoped that releasing this information will allow people to make informed dietary choices that can help to safeguard their eye health.

Eating a carotenoid called lutein, found in dark leafty vegetables such as spinach, can lessen the risk of developing macular degeneration as they boost retinal defences against harmful chemicals in the atmosphere.
