Eye Care for Haiti

The American Academy of Ophthalmology has sent eye care supplies to Haiti in an effort to facilitate better healthcare in the disaster stricken region. Experts explain that eye care equipment worth hundreds of thousands of pounds has been donated to medical centres in Haiti in a bid to rebuild Haiti's eye care system.

The equipment will be used to treat residents in Haiti, many of whom continue to experience eye care problems following the devastating earthquake that occurred earlier this year. The Academy has established a Disaster Relief Fund that will allow people across the world to donate funds to cover the costs of eye care resources that will better patient care.
