Contact Lenses for Sensitive Eyes
Scleral contact lenses have been designed to be used by people with highly sensitive eyes. These are made of gas permeable materials. These lenses tend to be bigger than normal gas permeable and soft lenses and lay on the white of the eye, which is less sensitive than the cornea. These lenses also enable a layer of saline between the lens and the eye, which helps protect the eye and enhances comfort. These lenses are often used if you have very sensitive eyes but cannot wear glasses or normal contact lenses because of inflamed or irregular corneas.
