Eye Pain


Eye pain can occur for many different reasons. Following eye surgery, many patients require painkillers while the eye heals. In laser eye surgery, the procedure itself is not painful but there may be some discomfort with the placement of a clamp to keep the eye open. The amount of pain after laser eye surgery, depends on the type of laser procedure used as well as tolerance levels, and individual differences. LASIK eye surgery does not usually cause as much post surgery discomfort as PRK.
