An instrument used prior to laser eye surgery, to check how thick the cornea is, in microns. If the cornea is particularly thin, then LASIK or PRK may be unsuitable, as they require thick stable corneal surfaces. Instead, Epi-LASEK or Implantable Contact Lenses may be more suitable treatment options.
