Microperforation

LASIK is the most commonly performed laser vision correction procedure. Microperforation can occur when a small hole is made in the cornea by the microkeratome blade. This is a complication of the LASIK procedure as the blade is only supposed to be used to cut a flap on the corneal surface and not penetrate further into the cornea.
