Manifest Refraction

An eye test usually completed by an optometrist/ophthalmologist, where refractive errors are measured while the eyes own crystalline lens is able to accommodate. This can help determine, myopia (short sightedness), hyperopia (long sightedness) and astigmatism. In a normal eye examination, the eye is dilated so that it can be examined with ease but in manifest refraction, it is examined in its natural state.
