Gas Permeable Contact Lenses
A type of contact lens, which allows oxygen to enter the eye and which therefore, helps the eye stay healthy. Gas permeable contact lenses have replaced traditional hard contact lenses and perhaps offer a better vision solution, compared with soft contact lenses and refractive eye surgery. If you are considering laser eye surgery, gas permeable contact lenses must be removed for a certain period of time before the surgery is completed. This is because their effects can last for several weeks as they continue to reshape the cornea. Gas permeable lenses are particular good for treating irregular astigmatism, small optical zones and controlling night vision disturbances.
