Fundus


An area at the back of the eye, which is composed of:

  • Retina - The light-sensitive area of the eye, which is connected to the brain through the optic nerve. Sharpe, central vision, is produced by the macula, which lies at the middle of the retina.
  • Optic Disc - The end of the retina, which is also known as the blind spot because it has no receptors.
  • Choroid - Found between the retina and the sclera, the choroids nourish the back of the eye.
