Corneal Thickness

The thickness of the cornea is measured by a Pachymeter during assessment for suitability of laser eye surgery. It is particularly relevant to LASIK treatment because this involves cutting a flap in the cornea and if the cornea is too thin, then alternative laser treatment may be better-suited including Epi-LASEK or implantable contact lenses.
