Corneal Haze

If the cornea becomes cloudy it is known as corneal haze. This may occur as a side effect of laser eye surgery. It is caused by a build up of inflammatory infiltrates, excessive moisture, scar tissue or foreign substance. It often resolves itself over time or it can be treated with drugs. Occasionally a permanent haze or scar can form.
