Convergence

The simultaneous inward movement of both eyes toward one another. This is often a result of trying to maintain single binocular vision when viewing an object. Near point of convergence (NPC) can be measured by bringing an object close to the nose to the point that you see double or an eye deviates out. This is usually around 10 cm. Some people suffer from involuntary convergence (squint), which cannot be corrected with laser surgery.
