Eye tissue can become inflamed either on the lid and other external areas of the eye (pre-septal cellulites) or the inner area around the eyeball can be affected (orbital cellulites). Symptoms include red, swollen eyelids, swelling around the eyes and pain or discomfort, bulging eye and decreased vision.
