Cavernous Sinus


The cavernous sinus is found at the bottom of the cranium. It is made up of the carotid artery and cranial nerves. Problems with the sinus include tumours, clots and aneurysms. This can cause ophthalmoplegia, chemosis and eyes to bulge. Eyes can become red and vision can be affected.
