Asteroid Hyalosis


Calcium-rich fats, suspended in the eye's vitreous.  The cause is unknown, but may possibly be due to old collagen or decomposition of hyaluronic acid in the vitreous.  There are usually no symptoms but some people may experience blurred vision or eye floaters.
