There are many companies, which now offer UK individuals the opportunity to travel abroad for treatment, at ease. They will arrange the full trip abroad and give you details of recommended clinics. They will organise your medical care, your accommodation and travel arrangements. All of this will often be included in a lump-sum package. When you contact a medical tourism operator, request some literature from them. This should include brochures detailing more information about the cost of travelling, accommodation, the procedure and crucially, information about clinics.

If you do not have a valid passport or require a visa, you can apply online or seek help from your broker. Check how long a visa lasts and whether you can get it upon arrival in the country or if it should be pre-arranged in the UK. It is always advisable to photocopy all the important documents including the treatment contract, passports, visas and always carry the contact details for someone in case of an emergency as well as the details of your tour operators, agents or brokers
