Laser Eye Surgery Abroad
If you are considering laser eye surgery, you may wish to enquire if the laser eye surgeon meets the following criteria:
- A minimum of eight years training
- Experience of a wide range of eye diseases
- Regularly performs intra-ocular microsurgical procedures
- Has experience of a wide variety of eye diseases in addition to refractive problems.
If the surgeon is not a specialist in laser eye surgery, this does not mean that he/she doesn’t have the necessary experience to carry out the procedure. But for complex cases it may be advisable to see someone that specialises in the surgery you are undergoing.
