Laser Eye Surgery Abroad


If you are considering laser eye surgery, you may wish to enquire if the laser eye surgeon meets the following criteria:

  • A minimum of eight years training
  • Experience of a wide range of eye diseases
  • Regularly performs intra-ocular microsurgical procedures
  • Has experience of a wide variety of eye diseases in addition to refractive problems.

If the surgeon is not a specialist in laser eye surgery, this does not mean that he/she doesn’t have the necessary experience to carry out the procedure.  But for complex cases it may be advisable to see someone that specialises in the surgery you are undergoing.
